I have a certain problem. I bought a post-leasing PC with a reinstalled windows 10 and Office 365. I uninstalled office 365 and installed a newly purchased Office 2016. Everything had been working just fine until I had to restore the system from the recovery partition. Now, after restoring and uninstalling office 365, I'm having troubles with installing Office 2016. It seems to have been installed correctly but my PC doesn't recognize it. On top of that, the files from the office I have installed dissappear after some time.
Hello, if you're having problems with installing the Office suite, you can take a look at the Office support section which can be found at https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Troubleshoot-installing-Office-365-Office-2016-and-Office-2013-35ff2def-e0b2-4dac-9784-4cf212c1f6c2?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US&fromAR=1. Hope it helps :)
Unfortunetely, it didn't work. The problem is still there.
Try reinstalling the whole system. The problem may be the result of the mess after restoring the system.
The thing is that I'd like to avoid formatting. It's simply not worth the effort, though there seems to be no other option.
I had a similar problem as you. Maybe there is some registry entry missing. In my case, registry fixers did the job :).
Thanks it helped, I got quite a lot of missing or nonfunctioning entries. Reinstalling them has solved the issue!
