Can't access mail after update

Hello after updating from win 7 to win 10, I don't have access to certain files related to the office suite (nor can I access email).

Could you be a bit more specific? As far as I know, after the update, you need to log in from some different user account.

    No, during the update, I created a new MS account on that same account.

    The problem may lay in you creating a new account. As far as the newer win is concerned, the new account is a web account and not a local one.

    That may be the case coz in the folder with documents, I didn't seem to have anything but when I took a closer look I found a folder of a different user.

    Try moving those files from that different user's account (your account) to a different account (the one with MS) and grant them relevant permissions. Then, it should work fine.

    Thanks, it's a lot of work but now everything works without any problems.
